How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007948 / WP33001808 Dryer Lint Filter Screen

Replaced all the moving parts associated with drum rotation. Vacuumed the lint and cleaned the inside of the cabinet thoroughly before beginning repairs. Videos on the Appliance Parts Pros website were extremely helpful in making the repairs efficiently. With these repairs the old Maytag is running like new after all these years. 

Watched a youtube video on removing the drum from my particular dryer. Opened it up, took out the drum. Determined that one of the rollers was not working. Used the link from the video to order parts. Decided to replace the other roller and the dryer belt. Waited 5 days for parts to come. Put it back together. 

I ordered a new dryer lint filter. The problem is fixed. 

Replaced the filter. 

Replaced roller axle, rollers, front bearings, belt pulley and belt removed along with lint build up in blower housing videos were excellent guide. lithium grease on roller axle. right axle & roller were discolored due to excessive heat from binding. 

Once the new part arrived I simply removed it, dumped it in 'file 13' and inserted the new Filter.... easy pleasie. 

Removed old lint filter and replaced with the new one. 

Replaced drum support rollers and while I had it apart replaced the dryer drum belt an glides. Took longer than needed but thoroughly cleaned out the dust and installed new lint filter in the dryer. 

Looked up parts on AppliancePartsPros.com used their diagrams to disassemble dryer and replace broken piece. Parts arrived next day after ordering and were an exact fit. Great job AppliancePartsPros.com!
