How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007948 / WP33001808 Dryer Lint Filter Screen

Tried to get part from Maytag but they referred me to 3 web sites to view individual components of a timer knob assembly. The videos at Appliance Parts Pros made it very simple to get a replacement timer knob skirt. While I was looking over the dryer I decided to get a new lint filter. I have previously acknowledged the excellent service that I received. I only used a small screw driver to remove a part from the original control. 

Ordered rollers, bearings, & a belt. The bearings were like new, so left them in. Replaced both rollers & belt. One roller had a lot of wear on the back side. Also removed a dime rattling inside one of the plastic drum blades. Cleaned a lot of dust out of the cabinet. It sounds QUIET & like new again! :-) 

Ordered my parts for more than half price locally.received them overnight ( I live in Texas ) I watched some Youtube and saved a bunch of cash 

Thought I'd have to buy a new dryer, but spending $500 is not in the budget. So, I watched a video of the disassembly of my model dryer, and saw there are only about four parts that wear out from use. After first ordering just one part (belt), I decided to order all the wearable parts. I only wanted to disassemble this dryer once! Surprisinlgly I received all the parts together, within 48 hours of ordering and with the review of a video one last time, I was able to disassemble, replace all the parts and thoroughly clean out the machine and have it back together again.....inside of two hours! It works and looks as new now, and for less than 20% of the cost of a new dryer! 

Ordered new coils and replaced them easily. 

I watched some you tube videos that had me listen to varoius sounds - and then I got on Appliance Plus site to find the parts. The videos that accompany the parts repair are spectacular! They gave me step by step instructions on how to get to the part, how to replace the part, and then how to put the dryer back together! I had ordered the parts from Appliance plus and they arrived at my door within two days! While I had it apart, I also changed the drum belt and a seal. It works like brand new now! 

Ordered it, pulled the old one out and slipped the new one in. 

I went on line and found your site. It immediately located the part and I was able to get it shipped quickly. I could not fine the filter on any other site I checked. I will return here if I need any other parts. 

Replaced the new hinge cover and exchanged the old lint filter with the new one 

Part number phoned and part delivered in less than 48 hrs. Amazing!!
