How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4299743 / 6802A Grease Range Hood Microwave Filter 5-15/16" X 13-3/8" X 3/32"

Popped them in! 

The repair itself was a no- brainer...simply remove the top cover over the existing dirty filter ( by unscrewing two small Philips head screws), discard the old filter, and simply set the new filter into the slot. The tedious part of the job was that , due to my less than fastidious housekeeping duties, the top cover was pretty greasy...I guess I should remove it periodically and CLEAN IT!!! Lesson learned!! 

Found the filters we needed right away on Appliance Parts Pros. Ordered and delivered in only few days. A little pricey but I expected that on an old unit. Surprised they were still available. Thanks for the quick service.
