How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6004795 / WPW10309357 Lid Hinge (Left-Hand)

Replaced hinges and removed rust. Used the paint spray to repaint 

I obtained the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com. There were no videos or instructions for the repair. I chatted on line with customer service rep for the repairs . You have to remove the three screws in the back of the control panel cover and remove same, but be careful no to detach any wiring. Then you can access the screw that hold in the springs. On the left side you have to remove the liquid bleach cup, which is clipped in before removing the spring. Springs solved the problem. 

I replaced the Lid-Hinge. 

I had to remove the lid from the top of the washer. Then remove the top of the washer to get access to the hinge. I removed the old hinge then replaced it with the new hinge. I also replace the lid hinge arm. The job was very simple after watching a few videos. 

I installed a new hinge. The job went great. 

LIFTED TOP UP TO GAIN ACCESS TO LEFT SIDE HINGE. REMOVED RUSTED HINGE AND INSTALLED NEW ONE. ALSO REPLACED LID HINGE PIN, IT WAS STILL IN GOOD SHAPE. LID NOW OPERATES QUIETLY.
