Keith O Darien , IL June 11, 2020 Appliance: Samsung Dryer DV45K6200EW/A3-00 Dryer was making loud noises. The repair was very simple with a 1/4 nut driver, adjustable wrench, 15mm combination wrench, and a couple of screwdrivers. The drum support rollers completely failed and the idler wheel for the belt was locked. I referenced the repair video which made it very simple. It took about 1 hour total to repair and while it was apart I cleaned out all the internal vents and fan blades. It is super quiet again and working like new. Read More... James O Noblesville , IN August 22, 2018 Samsung dryer did not run, had power, it clicked, but did not start The dryer had power, but didn't run. It would make a "click" and do nothing. We suspected the belt was out. After watching the very helpful videos we were brave enough to open up the dryer and see what we were in for. The belt was intact but we immediately noticed that the idler wheel had come off. It looked as if the bearing had failed and the whole wheel (and retainer clip) had melted away. Gross! The arm was just fine, so we replaced the wheel and the clip and applied liberal amounts of WD-40 for extra bearing lubrication. John V Tavares , FL April 08, 2018 Appliance: Model DV40J3000GW/A2 (0000) Dryer wouldn't start all the lights would come on like normal bells would chime but no movement The belt had come off, triggering the 'broken belt' switch. Found the tensioner pulley had melted from seizing on the mounting shaft, causing the belt to come off. Replaced the tensioner pulley and retainer. Not knowing much about appliances, it took me longer to figure out how to get it apart and diag the problem, than it did di to actually repair it. I put the machine back together and was able to reach the and replace the broken part by removing the dryer vent tube from the back. Read More...
