Maryjo P Adrian , MI March 12, 2014 Appliance: Amana Self Cleaning Free Standing Gas Range AGR5715QDS Oven stopped working Originally ordered the Oven Bake Igniter but when it arrived on 3/1/14, and after taking mine apart, I realized I didn't have the correct item. I contacted your company and did a 'web chat' and after conversation I was advised the part # I needed, which was the Igntr-Oven. I was sent a RMA to return the part that I didn't need, and I placed order for the part I did need. The part arrived on Tue 3/4 and I was able to quickly install it, with very little difficulty (due to previously watching a video on it). I am very impressed with the assistance, and the speed of delivery. The oven was back to work for less than it would have cost for a 'service call' for a repair person!! John G Elkhart Lake , WI December 09, 2014 The oven wasn't working After I found out that oven igniter wasn't working, I went to your site to look up the part. Yours is the best place online to find a part, just type in your model number of your appliance and the parts come up. With your "how to" video, it took me about 10 minutes to change out the bad part, and put in the good part. Deborah S Jefferson , LA December 21, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG MGR5775QDB 30 GAS RANGE Oven would not heat maytag mgr5775qdb 30 gas range We ordered the oven ignitor, part no.AP5690114, from this site, and it arrived on schedule in a few days. The instructions per the video were perfect. The only problem we experienced was removing one of the screws from the oven floor. (Our model has screws, unlike the model used in the video.) The range is 10-years-old, so that was to be expected, but it was more difficult than we'd anticipated. My husband used a variety of screwdrivers, wrenches, and a heat gun. After working at it for over an hour, he finally was able to loosen the stubborn screw without stripping it. With the screw removed, in no more than 15-20 minutes the ignitor was connected, oven floor replaced, gas and electricity turned on, and the oven working! Despite the difficulty removing the screw (which will vary by age and model), I'm marking this as a 1, "Easy", with 5 stars for satisfaction. Jake J Wauconda , IL July 12, 2022 Ignitor needed to be replaced. Very easy fix, just make sure you get the right ignitor. I ordered the wrong part initially. I'd recommend cracking your oven open first to make sure which ignitor you'll need. The video linked to the product is very thorough and helped immensely. Steve T Decatur , GA February 23, 2015 Appliance: Amana Self Cleaning Free Standing Gas Range AGR5835QDB Gas oven was slow to light causing gas smell and taking a long time to get to temperature I replaced the oven igniter after reading many of the posts on the appliancepartspros.com forum. Amana Gas Range (AGR5835QDB): Turned OFF electrical circuit for oven. Removed oven door. Removed inside bottom panel of oven by removing the two screws at the back of the panel bottom, lifting the back up and after sliding the front lip of panel out from from oven frame, removed from oven. Removed 2 screws holding holding the oven ignitor in front of the burner. Pulled the wiring through into the oven and disconnected the wiring from the wiring socket. Plugged in the new oven ignitor, and pushed the excess wire back through the wiring opening. Attached new ignitor with 2 screws removed from old ignitor. Reinstalled oven bottom panel. Reattached oven door. Turned electrical circuit for oven back ON. Tested and problem was resolved. Total time for repair from start to finish was just under 15 minutes and cost me a lot less dollars than a service call or a new range. The repair was made easy by the customer service department being able to email the service manual for my range to me which gave explicit instructions for removal of the oven door and exactly how to go about replacing the ignitor. Randie R San Bernardino , CA February 20, 2015 My magtag oven would not light I went shopping for a new stove at Home Depot, but the stove I wanted was on back order for over a month. My oven would not light, it only glow an orange color during the Christmas Season 2014. Not a good time at all! After waiting and waiting some more for the back order that never happen, my brother said why don't you call you? I did and told my story to the sale person. He placed the order for the oven part he said I needed. was told I would have it by Friday, never happen, instead it came over a week and a half later. Only then did we discovered that it was the wrong part. Back I was on the phone, this time I was told that my oven had two choices and that I had to buy the other part. I was email the return label and told that my refund would be given once they recvd. the first part. I was glad when the right part came within three days! And you guess right, yes my oven is up and running! I would highly recommend them to any and everyone that have and need parts for their stove as I did! They made sure they got it right!. Thanks so much helping me to save over $800 on not having to purchases an new one. Really like the very helpful video that shown set by set of how to install, it was a bonus for me. Again, thank you very much! Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
Caren S Highland , NY February 15, 2015 Appliance: Maytag 30" Gas Freestanding Self Clean Range Sealed Burner Co MGR8875WS1 Oven wouldn't hold temperature Oven would get up to temperature and say it was holding, but if you checked 5 minutes later the temperature had dropped. We'd have to hit "cancel" and re-preheat it again (multiple times depending on how long we needed the oven on). Research showed it could be the igniter, the temperature sensor or the gas valve. We replaced the oven igniter. The first time after replacing it, the oven stayed on "lo" (and didn't climb) for seven or eight minutes. We hit cancel and tried again and it has worked fine since then (holds temperature, no need to restart the oven). We DID need to pull the oven out to plug in the igniter in the back (we'd hoped to pull it through and do it inside the oven, but there wasn't enough slack).
