How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6017120 / WPW10208653 Oven Insulation

All easy EXCEPT replacing door. There are several YouTube videos about extending the hinges, but that wasn’t enough or perhaps necessary. The hinges would hit the edge of the internal “catch” and wouldn’t slide in far enough. The trick for me was using a 4” x 1/2” piece of credit card to guide one side in after starting the other side. 

I dismantled the oven cabinet to access the soiled insulation. Removed it and scrubbed all areas with a product called BAC OUT then installed the new insulation. It worked like a charm! No more nasty smells while I am trying to bake
