Whirlpool WPW10208653 Oven Insulation OEM Part

Took the stove apart*, saw where the mouse had made a nest. It was kind of like a hotel room after a rock star had used it. It was nasty, is what I'm saying. I removed the insulation, which immediately went into a garbage bag and was placed outside, whereupon I took off and nuked the site from orbit. It was the only way to be sure (actually it was disposed of in the proper manner, no nukes were detonated in the course of this repair). Anyway, I ordered the insulation from this site, which was quick, and painless, apart from having to shell out 2.5 Hamiltons because of a tiny, furry Charlie Sheen impersonator. Shipping was fast, too. Ridiculously fast, actually. I had this part 2 days after I ordered it, and I ordered it on a Sunday, cheapest shipping option available (Fedex ground). Nicely done. Replacement was simple, just the reverse of removal of the bad insulation. *I highly recommend labeling the electrical leads to the switches before removing them. Stoves are pretty simple circuits, but it's still easiest just to spend 5 minutes with some masking tape and a sharpie. It's all fun and games until you have to get the multimeter out.

I took the oven apart and looked up the insulation online. It was easy I entered in the model number and ordered the right stuff. It arrived at my house the very next day. Put the insulation in and put the oven back together. Wish I could say I was able to mouse proof it, but no such luck. Hopefully the traps will keep them from getting back in. Now when I cook I smell food cooking not the disgusting aroma of mouse urine. Price on this site was more than ten dollars cheaper than other places I checked.

The instructional video was a great help and worked almost perfectly. I have a different model and my control panel wanted to take the range top with it in the step where you lean it back, so it needed some additional support. If you had mice in your oven I just learned you’ll probably also need to replace the rear insulation too, the repair was easy though. Just a screwdriver, a chunk of wood, and the realization that oven sides can get greasy.

My husband and I have a Whirlpool double oven that started smelling foul while it was turned on. After cleaning it repeatedly, I realized that the odor was coming from possibly in between the ovens. My husband took all of the outer panels off and removed all of the insulation (which was where the mouse city was). We cleaned everything with bleach, ordered three insulation pkg and was able to replace it all very easily. Now the mouse problem is nonexistent because of a great exterminator and new oven insulation! I also wanted to speak to the online chat service, it was amazing!
