How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6017120 / WPW10208653 Oven Insulation

I took the oven apart and looked up the insulation online. It was easy I entered in the model number and ordered the right stuff. It arrived at my house the very next day. Put the insulation in and put the oven back together. Wish I could say I was able to mouse proof it, but no such luck. Hopefully the traps will keep them from getting back in. Now when I cook I smell food cooking not the disgusting aroma of mouse urine. Price on this site was more than ten dollars cheaper than other places I checked. 

Ordered the insulation on Sunday, received it on Thursday and installed it on Friday. The fit was perfect and installing it was easy. Thanks. 

The instructional video was a great help and worked almost perfectly. I have a different model and my control panel wanted to take the range top with it in the step where you lean it back, so it needed some additional support. If you had mice in your oven I just learned you’ll probably also need to replace the rear insulation too, the repair was easy though. Just a screwdriver, a chunk of wood, and the realization that oven sides can get greasy. 

My husband and I have a Whirlpool double oven that started smelling foul while it was turned on. After cleaning it repeatedly, I realized that the odor was coming from possibly in between the ovens. My husband took all of the outer panels off and removed all of the insulation (which was where the mouse city was). We cleaned everything with bleach, ordered three insulation pkg and was able to replace it all very easily. Now the mouse problem is nonexistent because of a great exterminator and new oven insulation! I also wanted to speak to the online chat service, it was amazing! It helped me know what to order and quantity. Made our job so much easier. Thank you! 

Took the sides off oven, removed old insulation, placed new insulation in it's place. I later had to order a piece for the insulation in the back which was more tricky, but with time and a little finessing, it was fixed and ready to bake a pie!

I ordered new insulation and watched your video.. It was simple and easy. got it done in under 2 hours... 

Opened the stove, pulled out the old insulation, vacuumed and wiped down the interior of the unit, wrapped the new blanket into place, closed everything back up. 

Ordered the parts and broke down the stove top to do the job.
