How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4327312 / W10183157 Rotor Position Sensor Kit

Called Appliance Parts Pro help number and asked if they could help me with the error code F-51 on my Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and they checked and told me that it could be the Rotor Position sensor . I ordered the part . Also asked if they had a video on installing the part and was told to Google the part # and it was a very helpful video . It took about 1 hour to remove the old part and replaced it with the new part . It worked and cleared the error code and fixed the problem . I hope this will Help if your washer gives you this error code F-51. 

Installed new RPS kit and washer worked fine. When removing old RPS kit discovered damaged wires at sensor connection causing error code. 

I followed the instructions in the online video and the part replacement went fine. The error code is gone and the machine is working as it should. A cordless drill/driver with a couple nut driver bits helps a lot with the removal of the numerous screws. 

Replaced the rotor position sensor and associated wiring. Not sure why the entire wiring harness and vacuum tube needed to be replaced, but I could not find the sensor as a standalone part. Anyhow- it was fairly easy to get done, and happily fixed the problem. 

Watched videos through YouTube to get familiar Staged the hand tools. Compensated using alternative tools instead of spending $$$$ for a 1 time use installation 

The site gave me a good idea the RPS was the issue. With the return policy I felt it was worth a try. Sure enough worked great. Watched the video and had it installed in no time.

You tube video by blake explained the fault code and how to replace the RPS sensor. After watching the video, I thought I could make the repair. There was a link to the part which came 36 hours later. Great service from AppliancePartsPros.
