Shelley July 05, 2019 for Model Number WTW6200SW2 I was getting banging and UL signal when going into spin. Chaned alll suspension rods and worked perfectly for two months. Now the same problem has occurred. Even if i redistribute garments it does the same. What else could be causing this?
1 Answer Hello Shelly, remove the clothes basket and check for a worn hub gear, worn spin bearing or drive shaft. Read More...
1 Answer Linda, First check and make sure the washer is level in both directions and as close to the floor as possible. Check and make sure you can turn the empty tub,and it moves freely. Check to see that the inner tub/basket is centered and level in the opening, when the lid is raised(open). Then check for loose connections at the Rotor Position Sensor and control board, and check the center mounting bolt in the stator, make sure it's as tight as possible, then replace the sensor kit if all's OK. Ron Joiner July 10, 2018 for Model Number 110.27072602 My Kenmore 110.27072602 was working fine. One morning it would not do anything. No lights, no operation. All control head was black. Sears service rep said control board was defective(code 50) and said only source for one was ebay. Ordered one from e bay, same results. E bay seller sent another control board, same results. Everything dead. My son says he had same problem with his washer (same model) and he replaced rotor positioning sensor fixed it. Don't want to continue investing ing machine if it can't be fixed. PLEASE ADVISE!
1 Answer Ron, The RPS sensor should not affect the display but the F50 error would be an RPS sensor fault. You will want to get the RPS sensor kit W10183157 and will want to make sure that you use all parts. Read More...
Danger January 15, 2017 for Model Number WTW6400SW3 I am getting the Sd error code. I have pulled the inner basket to check for anything to be restricting during spinning. I am also able to get the basket to spin when I enter the manual diagnostic mode. What els can I do. Replace bearing?
1 Answer Dan, The Sd would indicate a suds lock which would mean that the pressure switch may not be resetting. You will want to check to make sure that the pressure hose is no clogged. If it checks ok and the drain pump is not clogged then the issue will be the pressure switch, which is part of the control board on this unit. Read More...

Metrowest August 08, 2015 for Model Number 2006 Sears Kenmore Elite Oasis King Size Capacity Plus Sorry for not having the exact model, but couldn't find a sticker anywhere. But this is all standard Whirlpool stuff definitely bought in 2006. Anyway... Getting F51 intermittently mid-cycle, so went to replace RPS, then realized stator had 3 cracks in it so went ahead and replaced that. I have the old style RPS, and didn't want to replace all the wires, but I have all the parts and can do that next. Bearing was fine BTW, if it was junk I would have replaced the washer :-) So now, it does F51 once or twice with in 20 seconds of starting a load and then if you tell it to continue it runs perfect and finishes the load fine (no stopping in the middle)??? So my questions: Will replacing old RPS with new kit fix this, or does it sound more like control board? If it needs a new control board, I'll just buy a new washer and cut my losses (and return the $200 in parts :-)). Many thanks.... Metrowest
1 Answer Metrowest, You will want to replace the RPS Kit W10183157 for the F51 error code. Read More...
