Googled Whirlpool and talked to a representative, explaining that the knob used for selecting the wash cycle sheered off at the back and I needed a new knob to replace it. The sales rep. told me I needed the timer replaced. I found it strange that a knob would be permanently attached to the timer but I assumed the guy knew his business. He turned out to be a beginner. I received the timer, the part cost me $178.50 with delivery but there was no knob with it. Luckily, the company refunded all my costs.
So I called a friend contractor, who gave me your web address and in less then two days I received a metal reinforced wonderful knob that will, I'm certain, lest longer then my washer. Great service! Thanks a lot,
And nstallation took less than two seconds :o)
