How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011817 / WP8182634 Door Switch Assembly

Order a new one from appliancepartspros.com, watched the video and only took me twenty minutes tops and I saved over one hundred dollars! On service call 

I saw the video to repair in applianceparts. Its so easy. I will do it 

Ordered new part, found video on Youtube and was able to fix in less than 15 minutes. It was actually much easier than I originally thought and even easier than was shown on the video. The spring clip is the hardest piece to remove carefully but reinstalling it was a breeze. 

Replaced water seal and latch assembly. Very easy thanks to YouTube. Much less expensive buying the parts online and DIY'ing the project, vice using local repair technician. 

Given the excellent video provided by Appliance Parts Pros on the repair, we ordered the part (in stock and shipped the next business day). We received the part and opened the front of the washer to exchange them. As it turned out one of the connectors was loose from the part and I plugged that back in and put it all back together for a retest. It worked fine and the code no longer was displayed. Since the connector was supported to be locked in place by a plastic clip, we will hole onto the part in case the connector comes loose again. A small price to pay for the great info provided by the site and clear identification of the problem without having to resort to local repair company. Couldn't be more pleased with this company and it's website. 

To get correct part needed to speak to a rep. and give model # and serial #. I ordered from a different vendor using on line feature and ended up with a whirlpool part that didn't work. 

Bought new part, watched video and installed part, works like a charm. 

I went to the APP website, looked up the part, watched the instructional video and ordered the part. It arrived in 2 days as promised and, following the video instructions, I was able to install it and had the machine running in 3 minutes. The video was PERFECT! 

On line google CFL duet. Part search. Watched installation video on this site - most valuable as it was a feasible DIY repair. Ordered part. Repair w/o difficulty. Successful. ~&60 part. Cancelled prev scheduled service repair call. Cancelled online ordered replacement washer. If repair not successful then wiring harness or computer control module replacement next steps per Internet and this sit blog reviews but at cost of ~ $400 not worth it in a 10 y/o washer esp as new duet with steam $ 660 on sale. Amazing.
