How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011817 / WP8182634 Door Switch Assembly

Easy, breezy fix. Back to washing. 

Called my brother who recommended this site. Using the model number got the correct parts. Watched the video. Installed them easily with no problem! 

By replacing them 

Remove and install the door latch switch 

First, I did my diagnosis and analysis; Thank you Google! Then, as I frequently do, I went to the AppliancePartsPros.com site to look for the part. Parts are always easy to find, and very easy to validate whether or not they are the correct part for your appliance. Finally, I made sure to view the repair video/s multiple times. I have 'never' had any issues with replacing the parts correctly the first time after watching the very helpful videos! Another surprise for this last order is the fact that I ordered it on Friday, later in the morning, and the part was sitting at my front door early on Saturday morning. I was incredibly pleased!!! I was so happy that I actually called AppliancePartsPros to thank and praise them!!! 

Installed the Door Switch Assembly in Five min. I replaced the seal because the other one was worn out. This was a little tricky but installed after a little elbow and brain thought. I received my order in 2 days. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. 

I installed this with the help of the video. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. The step by step was very helpful. I'm not very mechanically inclined but I was able to fix it myself. It saved me a lot of money and I now have a working machine again. 

Just followed the video on your web site. took me all of 5 minutes to repair the door switch and we are good as new. 

Watched a YouTube on replacing the part. Took 10 minutes for the entire fix. $60 instead of $600. Thanks to the parts compatibility check at checkout, I could be sure I was getting the right part. 

I replaced the door switch. It went very well, all told I spent about 15 minutes replacing this item. The only tricky part really was getting the ring back on after getting the seal back where it should be and that part really wasn't even bad either. I'm sure I saved quite a bit over calling a repairman to come and do this.
