How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3094500 / 285671 Lid Switch Assembly

I ordered a Lid Switch Assembly from APP. The video on the website on how to do the repair was very helpful, it walked me through my repair. It was surprisingly an easy repair. 

The lid switch failed. After reviewing the helpful video on repair I decided this is a repair I could do. Carefully following the instructions I removed the washer body, disconnected the old lid switch and installed the new. Even putting the washer body back on turned out to be surprisingly easy. 

We replaced the Lid Switch Assembly. 

Ordered the part. Came in the second day after purchase. Watched the video. Did the repair with no real troubles. 40 minutes from start to finish. Would recommend this company and site to anyone I would also recommend vacuuming and inspecting the inside of the body and around the motors and other parts while the machine is open. 

Followed the detailed video instructions on lid switch replacement and it was very straightforward. 

This site is awesome for confirming why my washer had quit spinning and how to repair it. As a 62-year-old female, I was determined to fix myself. I plugged in my model number and the parts were ordered and received in 3 days. I followed the repair video that was on my invoice and was able to complete the repair in less than 2 hours after my parts were delivered. Knowing the age of my unit I also replaced the lid switch at the same time. After my repairs, I plugged the unit back up and gave it a test run. Runs like new. Thanks for the help.

Ordered from Appliance Parts Pros because they had the part for my old but sturdy Kenmore washer. It wasn't the easiest thing to change out but we did it! I was surprised how fast the part came, and it was exactly what was needed. Would recommend you highly! 

Order the thing that clicks when the lid is closed. I watched the video and it was easy peasy. 

Replaced it as per the video, the only issue was that the connector was not the same so had to do a little wiring (cut the old and new connector off and attached with wire nuts)
