How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011888 / WP8183592 Light Bulb (Baseless)

Replace bulb 

Removed cover, found light and replaced with a new one. It took longer to get the cover off the microwave than to actually replace the bulb. 

Ordered replacement part - this model's light bulb is not screw in - you must purchase the entire assembly. Simple repair - remove the outer cover, remove one screw that holds the assembly in place, remove the supply plug. Attach supply plug to new assembly and reverse the order of operations. The cover did have 2 screws that required a T15 security driver (small hole in end of bit) to remove them. The remaining screws were #2 Phillips head bits. 

Removed the cover and replaced the bulb...found helpful directions at the Appliance Parts Pros website...thank you.
