Repair was very easy - this was a KSSC36QTS (KitchenAid SS). First, you have to remove the drip tray by simply pulling it out. Then remove the 4 screws attaching the SS skin to the dispenser. Then you have to remove the SS skin on freezer door: Two screws at the bottom three at the top, and several on the left side. To remove some of the screws you need to open the door. Pull the SS skin off. The ice/water dispenser will be exposed. There are 4 1/4 inch nut screws - remove those. The control panel pulls away - you don't need to disconnect it all of the way, just let it hang. The motor and freezer cute flap are now exposed. Disconnect the electrical connection from the motor. Two nut screws hold the assembly in place. Remove them. Now, place the new door on the new motor assembly and then re-install everything reverse order.
