Don W Plymouth , MA October 24, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator PSD265LGES The compressor on our refrigerator stopped working without warning I opened up the back of the refrigerator to see what was going on and tapped on the compressor to see if it would run and the overload relay sparked telling me there was a problem with the relay. So I went on the internet and found AppliancePartsPros.com, saw it was a trusted site, looked up my model and ordered the overload relay along with a new run capacitor. (I figured it was a better option than just running out to buy a new refrigerator to my wife's dismay). The parts were shipped on Monday, came Fed Ex Tuesday! After watching the YouTube videos, I was skeptical about repairing it myself. But I went to our local appliance parts store and even the clerk told me overload relay is bad but they didn’t have it in stock. I called around town and had no luck. I went online and found AppliancePartsPros.com. I called to confirm that if I ordered the part, how fast could it get to me. The rep said at least 3 days. So I ordered/received the part, installed it right away, and let the refrigerator run overnight. I was thrilled by the next morning, our 20-year-old Maytag Refrigerator is up and running. I replaced it along with the run capacitor, no change. Then replaced the freezer temp control switch, Bingo that was the problem! Read More... David B Missoula , MT August 10, 2015 Appliance: Amana Refrigerator ARSE66ZBS The overload relay and capacitor on the compressor on our amana side by side refrigerator/freezer overheated melting the plastic slightly and producing a noxious burned wiring odor I ordered both a capacitor and a new relay. I ordered the new overload relay from Appliance Parts Pros because they could confirm the the part would fit my refrigerator and they had an option for 2nd day shipping for a reasonable price.
