How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3055285 / 814323 Foot Pad Kit

Note: I am only talking about the bottom door trim, not the grate foot pads. It was easy, open the oven door part way, lift off the door, turn the door upside down, remove 8 screws, replace the trim and reverse the process. While the trim was off, we removed the opaque glass front and cleaned the inside. It had collected some dirt and stains. Along with new drip pans, the stove looks as good as new. Originally I ordered the wrong part, I'm not sure how. I reordered the correct part and returned the wrong part with no problem. The picture of the trim is small and I did not remove the door before I ordered the first time. If I had removed the door I would have seen that it was different than the picture. 

Ordered need pads. The ones you specified according to my stove part number are wrong. I selected pads based on the pictures and the ones I received are perfect. 

After exhausting all avenues with Samsung and was told that I would need to buy the entire grate for $98 I started looking at other Manufacturers parts list and came across Whirlpool who had a very similar design. So I took a shot for $6 and bought a set of 4 rubber cushions for the Whirlpool Cook Top and the rest is history, it worked perfect.

Used the website to look for replacement parts, could not find on the web, called customer service and they were very helpful in locating the correct parts. Ordered the parts, they arrived in a few days and fit correctly. Excellent customer service!! Added the web address to my shopping bookmarks. 

The trick was finding a replacement that would fit, since the original is out of production. AppliancePartsPros came up with a substitute, in a package of four (so I have spares now). Regular shipping actually got it here in one day. 

Insert new gromets with a bit of adhesive 

Inserted new pads in grates. 

Could not get this locally so I purchased from AppliancePros.com. The grommets were in stock. While I was at it I purchased little rubber "feet" for the cast iron grates. They emailed confirmation IMMEDIATELY and then emailed that they shipped that same day! I only paid for standard shipping and my purchase was here in 2 days. Awesome. I will shop with them again.
