Well, there I was---face'n me a demon! I had been ordered by Liolly, my sweetem's, to fix that hinge or git owt! Not having no fancy putty knife ,I was forced to use my burger flipper. Once I had slipped the disk on the lid I saw them dem screws...2 of 'em. Justa starin me down...like they do. Utilizing my recently acquired Swiss army knife from Sears and DoeBuck mail order picture book, I removed them. I then replaced the defective hinge with a new non-defective hinge.I was sure to replace the right screw in the right hole and the left screw in the left hole. (see diagram) Applying 23 to 27 pounds of downward pressure I closed the lid securely. Another job just done got did...
