Merle F Yuma , AZ September 26, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MSD2758GEW My refrigerator door was not closing completely I removed the door by via 4 screws topside. Door weight was as light as a sack of groceries. I placed the door on a couple of large blankets and replaced the bottom side door closer that was held in place with 2 screws. The the refrigerator hinge pin simply lifted out for replacement. Reverse door installation was a breeze. The door now closes like new. Even though I was in no rush, the entire procedure took approximately 12 minutes. I'm extremely happy and have saved $140. Don't kid yourself. Even Maytag's sometime require service. Hey! Ronald K Cedar Crest , NM June 07, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MZD2766GEQ Door closer wore out and lost positive door closing Remove the screw holding the hinge cap on refrigerator door. Have helper hold door while the three screws are removed from the hinge-to-refrigerator. Lift the door a couple inches, enough to remove the old closer on the bottom of the door and insert the new holder. Level door and reattach door hinge. Read More...
