I looked at the appliance parts pro video, decided a fix was doable, ordered the parts (which arrived in one day!) and did the repair. The dryer now runs quietly and smoothly.

I took the KitchenAid mixer apart until I found the broken part. The only slightly difficult part is removing a circlip - with a circlip removal tool, the repair was easy. After replacing the Dowel Pin and reassembling the mixer, it works great! 

Replaced the drum rollers, roller shafts and belt. 

Replaced motor (armature shaft worn). Replaced counter shaft and associated bearings. Replaced grease. Added benefit: Reduced noise by 50%... 

I used the video that you provided and replaced all the parts. Not sure how the technician was able to do it by himself, I had to get my buddy to hold the drum up. Excellent video and the parts worked without and flaws. Thanks 

I applied heat proof grease to the drum roller shafts which fixed the problem for awhile. Started making the noise again so I ordered new shafts and drum rollers, idler pulley and new drum drive belt. I installed everything and the dryer now runs like new and quiet.
