How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008773 / WP37001042 Dryer Drum Support Roller

Purchased about $70 worth of wear item parts and replaced worn parts. Repair video helpful for overall view of work, then just dealt with our dryer model- slightly different but the essentials we’re there to get job done. We were due for a new dryer, but the models in our price range were judged inferior to our old beater, glad we were able to repair and keep in service. 

Replaced drum rollers drive belt and belt tension pulley. I was happy when my parts were delivered and made in USA. Took me about a hour on the repair. Went well, dryer sounds good now. 

Watched videos in repairs, ordered parts and got them in 2 days. Installed parts and it is now working again with no squeaking. 

I replaced drum support rollers, glide pads, belt, and belt tension assembly. Found the belt tension roller was defective but felt that if I was going to disassemble the dryer I would replace the other parts also. Found wear on the glide pads and the belt was stretched some due to the tension roller problem. Any one with basic skill could do this by watching your excellent video's. 

Replaced belt, tensioner pulley and drum pulley. Very easy with video. 

Replaced both rear rollers, replaced the felt and front wear slides on the front of the machine. Replaced the damaged tensioner pulley and belt. The entire job took about 45 minutes! 

I watched a couple of videos on the problem and ended up on your website which had a great how-to including the most likely parts. The repair went well with the only surprise being the inside washer on the drum support roller needed replaced also. I wish they came with the roller or I had thought to get new ones. The parts were one for one replacement and the repair solved the problem. I probably replaced more than I needed to as the rollers were the main issue but for the price, it made sense to replace everything it could be since I had the dryer apart for the roller replacement. 

I order the rollers and the belt and tensioner as well as the slides replace all those parts back to working like before thanks 

Tore apart easily enough. It took me a while to realize my dryer opens from the bottom front, then the top front, and lastly the top. After that, it was easy enough to diagnose a faulting idler pulley. It would barely turn at all even with me forcing it. Frozen pulley had chewed up the pulley axel and belt pretty badly. Ordered new parts (and rollers just in case). Parts arrived quickly and dryer now runs great. 

Replaced belt, drum support rollers, tension pulley, and drum glide. This took about an hour only because there was a great deal of lint on everything that needed to be cleaned off.
