How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008773 / WP37001042 Dryer Drum Support Roller

With internet and all of appliance pros videos it wasn't to hard. First I replaced the motor a major issue was it was stuck on blower wheel so had to cut motor shaft between housing found it little easier to take the whole motor mount with everything attached and cut it out that way the housing was not damaged so just bought a new blower wheel and motor also changed the drum rollers and drum guides thanks too the videos it went well:) it squeaks a little still but runs good and dryers the clothes . 

Since this dryer was probably 15+ years old took it apart and gave it a good cleaning, which was long overdue. Replaced the Thermal Fuse and Hi-Limit Thermostat and the the exhaust duct which had a lot of "caked" lint. Replaced the drum belt (which was ready to go ... cracked in two places) drum support rollers and drum guides. The dryer came on normally and heats fine and the squealing has stopped. Will plan on routine maintenance in the future since the lint really does build up quickly and clearly affects the dryer performance. Until could actually see the buildup, especially in the exhaust duct did not seem very blocked, but it was.

The dryer I have is an older one and my family stays quite busy with church functions, sports, home repair, etc... Obviously, we use the washer and dryer quite often and well, old faithful began making crazy noises and stopped heating. I found the website because I was convinced it would be cheaper to repair than replace ( I was right - I spent around $80!). I ordered the parts and to my surprise, within 2 days they were on my front porch! The video instruction was concise. My youngest son (age 14) basically did all the work - with dad supervising of course. And from the time we started to the time we had it back in service was about 40 minutes total! Followed the instructions on the video 

Replaced rear rollers, front sliders, idler and belt. Repair video helped but disassembly instructions were not on the mark. Next day parts delivery was unbelievable . 

Went on the Web and found out about the drum-support-rollers, and ordered two from AppliancePartsPros. Had the rollers within 48 hours; and now, no more squeak. My wife thinks a am terrific. (probably would think even more so if I actually had the money for a new dryer). Thanks AppliancePartsPros.
