How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6008773 / WP37001042 Dryer Drum Support Roller

Went online to see what site I could find parts in and found this site. So gave it a go and found what I needed pretty quick and ordered next-day delivery. Parts showed up on time and everything was changed over within an hour. Replacement parts were an exact fit and perfect match for my dryer. Everything went smooth and now it runs well again!. 

Replaced the drum support roller bearing. Not a difficult job. The worse part was getting the belt back on the motor shaft and pulley. 

I found the video in YouTube from Appliance Parts Pros was named: Electric Dryer Making Loud Noise - TOP 6 Reasons & Fixes - All dryers dated 20 Sep 2019. I took apart, cleaned, identified the faulty parts and followed the video instructions on how to order the parts for my specific model. The parts arrived after 4 days and the repair turned out to be a complete success. What took the longest was the cleaning. 

What initially prompted the repair was the belt coming off of the dryer, causing the drum to stop turning. I immediately got online to see how to take my specific model Maytag dryer (Sde505dayw) apart. Found many upon many more useful videos on YouTube and Google to find the parts I would need to make necessary repairs. I came across appliancepartpros.com and was able to find my parts for pretty cheap. I was able to replace the belt, 2 drum rollers, and the idler tensioner pulley and the dryer is running like new. I will probably be ordering from appliancepartspros.com again soon because I will probably be replacing the (4) drum glides on the front as they will soon need replacing. Learned a lot about the machine and now can add it to the “know-how”! Altogether when I purchase the glides I’ll have a brand new dryer for $150. Definitely beats paying $698 for a new one and doing the repairs saves you time and energy, and keeps you from calling some repair company out to fix it or buying and moving around old/new appliances. 5***** rating 2 day delivery got me back in gear quickly. Not something I would recommend to someone who doesn’t have experience with moving parts or isn’t particularly mechanically inclined I would rate my job at 3 out of 5 difficulties/skill level. 

I watched your video, then I ordered the parts, and then I installed them in less than a half an hour. Now the dryer runs like new. 

Watched the repair videos and tried to keep my patience - but it was actually easier than I expected it to be.

Replaced the parts 

It was very, well somehow easy. The dryer's idler arm was worn-out. Which makes the belt go out of the track. So I replaced it and at the same time, I changed some other related parts to make sure works longer. Thanks, everything fits very well. 

Replaced motor. Since the dryer was noisy and we would have it apart, I replaced the drum support rollers, glides and felts, and pulley tension roller. The whole job with the extensive cleanup of the inside of the dryer took less than an hour. Thank you Appliancepartspros.com for the videos. This made the entire job super easy.
