How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007914 / WP33001003 Dryer Lint Filter Screen

Already had all the springs and wear pads. Disassembled, replace them and the tube seal and spanner nut. Works like a new washing machine. Love your customer service,

Ultimately is was discovered and caused by the blower wheel shaft opening was cracked and broken. Replaced blower fan wheel. 

Bought a thermostat from AppliancePartsPros.com! By the way, our Maytag washer and dryer are over 35 years old! One thing, the video we watched was for a younger dryer than ours. We could not find our manual to see where the thermostat went (and the light bulb which needed to be replaced). If you find a manual for this dryer, we would love to have one. By the way, this is the second time this dryer has been worked on! It was challenging to find where the thermostat and how to get the bulb in without a manual. 

I provided the Modell Number of the dryer, ordered it, received it within one week, and put it in. Fits perfectly. No tools are necessary. 

I took it apart and checked the website for possible problems and inspected the parts most likely to fail. I found the drum roller bearings were rough and the blower wheel was wobbling on the shaft after inspecting the belt. I decided to replace it as well. after all, it is 35 years old and things are due wear plus it needed a severe cleaning and a new lint filter. With all the parts replaced and put back together it was very quiet and drying time was reduced it works as well as new. It was an easy job with the video's you posted and I was confident in being able to do it. Thanks

I searched for a couple of weeks and could not find a replacement part. Then I discovered AppliancePartsPros.com and found the part. It was delivered within 5 days. I am happy that I can continue to use the old dryer, The older appliances are much better made than the ones sold now.
