How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023867 / WPW10705575 Turbidity Sensor

Replaced the water inlet valve. Benefitted from another shared story mentioning the location of the detailed trouble shooting instructions for technicians. These instructions are located behind the kickboard placed at the front bottom of the machine. 

I read the tip from this site that it could be the turbidity sensor and ordered the part hoping for an easy fix. And it was! The detergent pods were not dissolving because the water was not getting hot. I was willing to change out the heating element, but tried this first since it was a much easier project and was less money. Just needed to take the front door panel off (screws surrounding door on inside) and the bottom plate to access the mechanics underneath. No tools were necessary to replace the turbidity sensor itself, which is on the right toward the back a bit, so a flashlight is handy to find it - rotate to remove and then disconnect the wiring clip. Reverse to replace it, screw the door panel back on and viola! Easy peasy. 

I changed the Turbidity Sensor and the dishwasher now works great! The detailed notes on the review written on the f7-E1 error code written by David F from Austin, TX on September 14, 2021 were very helpful for me to have confidence in the repair to fix our dishwasher since we were seeing the same dirty dishes with soap remaining in the dishwasher and no heat. The video by the AppliancePartsPros.com expert was great to show me step-by-step how to change the turbidity sensor. The sensor was delivered very quickly as promised. 

Cleaned out the line, but still replaced the Turbidity Sensor and Drain Pump we purchased. Worked great 

I checked continuity on the heating element first which was good, then continuity tested the high limit switch, which was also good, so then I changed the turbidity sensor which fixed the problem. I bought all three together as it was recommended on the website. The only reason I did is because of a comment by someone else made about turbidity sensor fixing this problem, otherwise would have had to research further as I never would have guessed this would affect heating. 

I researched the issue on AppliancePartsPros.com and determined the Turbidity Sensor needed to be replaced. I ordered the part, it arrived 2 days later and I then watched the exceptional 'how-to video on the AppliancePartsPros YouTube channel. The repair took less than 20 minutes. I am happy to say that my dishwasher is fixed and I feel terrific that I was able to complete the repair myself. Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com!! 

First replaced the pump but that did not help, the replaced the Turbidity Sensors and that solved the problem, 

I replaced the turbidity sensor after cleaning the strainers and checking the sprayers. I was able to leave the washer in place and get the old sensor out and new one in by reaching around the pump to about the two o clock position and just feeling my way around. Worked out OK and it looks like it fixed the cleaning problem we were having. Part arrived very quickly in just a couple of days. 

Replaced temperature sensor. 

The pump is a replace only item. I ordered the full assembly because it is a small increase in cost over the bare pump, and it is much easier to install. I removed the wash arm and filters, disconnected the drain hose and electrical connections, and then the assembly, held by three swing clips. Installation the reverse of removal. The assembly slides in from inside the washer, and there is a trick to the positioning, it only passes through in one orientation. My part was not functional: my evaluation and the service diagnostic indicated a stuck diverter. The new pump was running, but the water was not passing into the wash arm. I called and asked for a warranty replacement, and customer service made it easy. A week later, I got the replacement, installed it easily (practice makes perfect), and the dishwasher now runs like a dream. Thank you, Appliance Parts Pros!
