How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014264 / WP98014893 Gas Range Safety Valve

Went on Internet to see what the problem was, it gave me thing to look for , after checking the things that it showed I came up that it was the gas valve I called around town trying to find it and get prices and no one had it and the cost was high so I went back to the Internet and ordered it thu Appliance PartsPros for $50.00 less than what I could get for in town and I got it in time for my wife to cook Thanksgiving super. 

After ordering the gas safety valve and temperature control I received my parts three days earlier than expected. I used a screw driver two wrenches and and gas thread sealant. The repair only took about twenty minutes. My wife is baking again and that makes everyone very happy! Thanks to appliance parts pros! 

Replaced solenoid. 

Found that the gas line did not have a dirt trap put in it. So I put one in. I think the regulator valve was not closing off. To be safe, I replaced the gas safety valve and regulator.
