How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006718 / WP2223320 Pan Slide

Replaced the Pan Slides. 

Eventually found the required part online and in stock. It was a simple and easy fix.. job done.. 

Replacement. 

Ordered "MOE" rails. The new rails were identical to originals EXCEPT they had 2 small round pins about 1/8 tall that did not let the new plastic rails get close enough to the metal shelf bracket to slide/snap in. I used a hack saw to remove the pins, and it went in easily - well, very tight so needed a screwdriver to tap it into place - but it is perfect now. 

I replaced the parts from AppliiancePartsPros.com. Had a great parts list on the website. 

I bought a new guide, looked online to see how you change out the old guide for the new one and it was a done deal. 

Ordered two new ones. The salesperson Deborah was very very helpful. 

Slid the new slide on and put the tray back in. The new slide had little round pieces on both ends but we were able to get the new slide put in with no problem. 

We removed old ones and snapped in new ones.... 

The first slide snapped in. It was super. The second side wouldn’t budge. Had to get a hammer, a wood block and a neighbor to help. The neighbor held the slide to keep it seated in the track. Then I was able to hammer it into position. So slide one gets an A plus. Slide two gets a C. The repair is working perfectly now though.
