Juanita M Jackson , MS March 30, 2014 Appliance: Model XGT451 MODERN MAID None of the eyes of my cooktop would lite. No clicking sound on any of them. Had already removed old spark module to get part number. The replacement part arrived very quickly. Attached the 2 adapters by striping back the cover on the wires inserting the wire into adapter and closing the adapters with pliers. This took about 10 minutes. reconnected the four wires to new spark module. One minute. Attached new module to stove with screw. One minute. Then attached the cover plate, with 2 screws. Lowered Lid . Plugged the stove back in outlet. It works perfectly. Less than 15 minutes altogether. I am a 72 year old woman and found the repair very easy and and cost less than paying someone else for estimate, parts and labor. The hard part was trying to find the part. My stovetop is 34 years old. Part number did not work, neither did the model number. I went by picture and specs to order. But the replacement part you sent works great. I don't always attempt to do own repairs, but your online video looked easy and it was in fact very easy. Forrest B Monroeville , PA October 11, 2014 Appliance: Amana Self Cleaning Slide-In Downdraft Gas Range RLT-360 The burners would not ignite all of the time the sparks generated were often all but nonexistent and the sound of the sparks was diminished I went the route of replacing the spark module on my caloric RLT360 range. It seemed to be the most likely candidate given how the problem was with all 4 burners. This unit has two physical spark generating Units with four burners. When the problem occurs with an apparent weak or non existing spark, it happened with all 4 burner controls. The part came in about 2 days later, so delivery was just wonderful. The only complaint I have was that two of the connectors on the new spark module were much smaller than the original connectors. I took a quick trip to Radio Shack, and paid $3 for some smaller connectors. I already had the tool to cut, strip, crimp the new connectors onto the old wires so that I could try out the new spark module. It'so only been a week, but I haven't seen any problems yet. What was odd was that two replacement connectors came with the spark module. However, they were the large sized parts, not the small ones. Really, it was no big deal to go get some new connectors. It was very easy to replace, (took minutes), and the stove is working properly again. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
