How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5263280 / W10400895 Tub Centering Spring Kit

Replaced the suspension rods and ring-tub. One note is that I did not anticipate how heavy the tub is. In the last stage of placing the suspension rods back in place, was not able to hold the weight of the tub with one hand while clipping on the support. My solution was to push the rod up through the cup then hook it on one of the old rods placed along the top of the washer. (I can send a photo.) Did the same with two more. This supported the tub enough for me to clip the fourth rod into the support. Then clipped the other rods in their supports.

Put new suspension springs in and it's just fine now. It's balanced and doesn't beat and bang and move around now. thanks. 

I am VERY skeptical, even after reading the reviews and videos, but I went ahead and ordered the suspension rods and centering tub rings. I noticed the tub ring was slightly chipped, but I was on a budget and only stuck with the parts already mentioned. Wow!! I am so happy with the results and my wallet is even happier!! No more bucking bronco, just a smooth washing machine. The difference is noticeable even while it is off, the tub is not wobbly but rigid even when you push down to purposely see the reaction. Thanks a bunch. 

I replaced the worn suspension rods with a new suspension rod kit. The washing machine has factory tub centering springs. I did not replace those. Instead, I added the 2 new ones that came with the kit, as the washing machine has provisions for 4 springs. Note: do not pay attention to repair videos that show this being a "one person repair". I had to have a helper hold up the tub as I reinstalled the new rods. 

I watched the Appliance Parts Pro video. The repair went pretty much like the video. The only difference was that the repair video showed only one repair person but it went smooth with two people. It would have been difficult with only one person. Shipping was great. I received the parts within 3 days of ordering. 

I’m so grateful for Appliance Parts Pros. My washer machine was banging and knocking during the spin cycle. I was uncertain if a part knocked out of place during a recent move because the washer did not perform this way prior to moving. I also considered if it could be the suspension rods since that is the number one problem I found during my research. I ordered the suspension rod kit, suspension bearing kit and tub centering spring kit. My parts arrived one day after ordering. Appliance Parts Pros parts were less than Whirlpool. A family member replaced the rods for me using the videos posted on Appliance Parts Pros website. The video was simple and easy to follow. One of old rods was rusty. The other rods seemed worn as well.Since replacing, the washer is no longer banging; it runs smoothly. I returned the suspension bearing kit because the same parts were included in the suspension rod kit (I didn’t know that prior to ordering). I also returned the tub centering springs because that part is not needed for my machine. The ordering and return process was easy. 

I watched videos on replacing the suspension rods and centering springs. Then ordered the parts, and put them in when they arrived. We have an older washer that did not have the slot for the suspension rods to slip into, so I had to tilt the washer back and remove/install the rods through the bottom. The hardest part was my lack of space to work in. Thank you for the video! 

Purchased the suspension rod kit. Replaced these items and it now purrs like a kitten. The repair video was spot-on and made this a very easy repair.
