Jessica B Riverview , MI November 13, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW4800XQ2 Whirlpool washer model number wtw4800xq2 went off balance banging and bouncing around all of the time After looking up the model number of my washing machine on AppliancePartsPros.com I ordered the suspension rod kit, two sets of tub centering springs (one spring per corner), a Ring-Tub (mine was breaking apart due to banging around) and a spare suspension bearing kit in case I need it later. I spoke to a very helpful customer service rep on the phone just before placing my order. They have customer service representatives answering the phone late at night. I was surprised. All of my parts were shipped out super fast as advertised. There was a problem with FedEx not delivering some of them, yet tracking showing the delivery as complete. That was entirely the fault of FedEx. When I contacted AppliancePartsPros.com about it they were very kind and quickly and completely resolved the issue. I received my parts yesterday and completely fixed my washing machine today. The videos on this website were very helpful. I also looked at a few on YouTube. I felt ready to tackle the job even though I had never fixed a washing machine before. I am not new to fixing things though. In this house, Mama fixes things and the kid's help. We took about an hour and a half to unplug, turn off the water to it, detach the hoses, replace all of those parts, reattach the hoses, plug it back in, turn the water to it back on, then level the washer in my cramped laundry space. I also cleaned inside the washer while it was opened up. While fixing it we discovered that the machine had been completely missing tub centering springs. That, combined with worn-out springs on the original suspension rods and broken suspension bearings was causing all of the problems with the balance of the washer tub. I am very happy I found this company and took a chance of placing the order. My washer is running so quietly and staying put now. AppliancePartsPros.com deserves a good reputation. I also took the time to leave a good review with my local BBB because I am so impressed with their excellent customer service. Nick D Roseville , MI November 12, 2023 Appliance: Maytag Washer MVWC565FW1 The washer was slamming around violently during spin cycles and walking across the floor. Our Maytag top load washer developed a bad slam during the spin cycle. Bad enough to shake the whole washing machine and make it move across the floor, sounded like it was going to destroy itself you could hear this thing in the furthest room in the house mind you it is on the opposite end of the house in the basement. For a while, you could do certain things to stop the issue or improve it, as you would expect that stopped working. I made sure the washing machine was level which I had to adjust. Upon doing my research a lot of YouTube videos pointed to the suspension rods needing to be replaced. Or the tub hub being stripped. Thankfully it was just the suspension rods for now. I won't lie it wasn't as easy as I expected. I did 1 rod at a time which helped, thankfully our washer is a newer design that had slots in the side of the drum to slide out the suspension rod, as opposed to older designs you would have to tip the machine on its back. You will be fighting the weight of the drum which is a big pain in the butt, I saw a tip of using the old rods to help pull the new ones into the plastic piece that it sits in, I would highly recommend doing that. Getting into that plastic piece was quite a challenge on its own, and I'm not a weak person. The rods are slippery if you have sweaty hands like me, tools and gloves gave me less grip than I had with my bare hands. If you have the ability for a helper to assist you I'd recommend it, I was swearing at this thing like a sailor and had to walk away. I threw the old rods on the floor so I wouldn't get them confused, had 1 or 2 of them leaking the dampening grease that they get from the factory. I also saw a video mentioning the centering springs being an issue. Our washer didn't have those tub centering springs so I will be attempting to return those. All in all, I got it done within a few hours, did the recalibration which is critical you can find a video on that. Pro-tech C Costa Mesa , CA November 04, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW4800XQ2 Our washer was bouncing around unbalanced and out of control! I removed the control panel (dashboard), removed the top piece obove the tub. The tub ring was broken in a few spots and I noticed only 2 springs remaining of 4 corners of the tub, it looked like it was missing 2 springs so I ordered 4 new springs for each corner. In the mail I received 1 tub ring and 8 springs (each pack contained 2 springs). If you need 4 springs, order 2 packs. But now I thought maybe there are only supposed to be 2 springs installed. I installed 1 spring per corner anyway (4 springs) and a new tub ring, the washer has been quiet since. I have extra springs now just incase.
