Alicia November 06, 2023 for Model Number WTW4800XQ2 When replacing the centering springs does it matter what corner to place them,if so why? Only 2 springs? Why not 4? Also, in a jam I had to buy what springs I could find.they are very similar just a little stronger,is this going to cause any damage?
1 Answer Alicia, The manufacturer's design is for two centering springs placed in opposite corners of the machine (one front and one back). It is always recommended to use the OEM parts. W10400895 Read More...
Mike August 13, 2021 for Model Number WTW4800XQ1 I replaced the suspension rod kit but I am still experiencing shaking/banging that is normally associated with the suspension rod kit going out. What else would I need to replace?
1 Answer Mike, it would be recommended that the unit is checked to ensure that it is level. From there, the spin basket W10349185 would need to be rotated by hand and then quickly stopped. If there is not fluid heard moving around, the counter-balance ring of the basket has leaked and the basket would need to be replaced. If it is heard, the next step would be to visually inspect the drive block WP389140 for any indications of damage. Read More...

John March 14, 2021 for Model Number WTW4900BW0 My machine does not have these currently but my tub is not centering. I saw a video that you did on YouTube and my machine looks the same and my tub is not Centering
1 Answer John, Your unit does not use the centering springs. Try adjusting the feet on your unit to level side to side and front to back. Also, there could be one shock that's failing, allowing the tub to pull in that direction. If adjusting the feet does not help you should try replacing the suspension. W10780044 Read More...

1 Answer Linda, We are not showing tub centering springs on this unit but they could be installed. It would be recommended to check to make sure that the balance ring has solution in it still and make sure that the clothes are not causing the off balance issue. Also check to make sure that the pulley on the bottom is tight. Read More...
