How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5263280 / W10400895 Tub Centering Spring Kit

I ordered the replacement kit and replaced all 4 suspension rods on my Roper washing machine. I followed along with the instructional video made by Appliance Parts Pros. The process was incredibly straightforward. I only note that it took me about 2 hours and rated it moderately difficult because I’d never fixed an appliance before, so I really took my time to make sure I did it right. 

I replaced the 4 stabilizer springs. Your Youtube video helped immensely. Thanks for the help. I will use you guys again. 

After a watching my washer doing the psychotic polka dance in my garage, I thought I would do some google research. I found AppliancePartsPros.com. I found that their how to videos were spot on with easy steps to correct (five stars). I placed my order on Sunday and received confirmation the following morning. Shipping was expensive (2-day FEDEX) $34.95 (four stars) to Hawaii. The Tub Centering Springs (2x) arrived within the two days (Wednesday). The Suspension Rod Kit (four rods and accessories) came two days later (Friday). Follow the instructions in the videos and you won't go wrong. From start to finish was 30-minutes and the repairs were easy (minus a little washer drama). I have completed two loads of laundry with no issues (one with ten bath towels). I will definitely use AppliancePartsPros.com again. 

Watched the video provided with part online and made it very easy to complete job. 

I watched the APP video online which helped me determine what the problem was and how to fix it. I ordered the parts and did the repair myself. 

The sites suggested it probably was the centering springs and/or and support rods. Showed a video on how to replace those items so I order both. So far it seems to be just the centering springs was worn out. Replaced both centering springs, the easiest thing first, and it is working fine. Will keep the rods just in case I need them. The service was great. Items were here the day they said they would be and they are an exact fit. 

Installed new suspension rods. Purchased new bearing kit that I didn't need. I did not realize it came with the suspension kit. The job went well and fast. I had the washer back on its feet in 1 hour. Easy fix.

I installed new suspension rods. The old ones appeared perfect. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong with them, but I installed the new ones anyway. It spins so quietly now the only way to tell that it is spinning is to put your hand on it and feel it spinning. That’s what I did today because I saw the spin light on. It’s better than new and I’ve never worked on a washer before. 

Ordered Suspension Rod Kit AND 2 Tub Centering Springs and works great again.!!!
