How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6020256 / WPW10352973 Dispenser Actuator

I ordered the Dispenser Actuator for Whirlpool WFW94HEXW1 from AppliancePartsPros.com and watched their video on how to replace that part. The replacement was very easy, took about 15 minutes, and fixed my issue. As an aside, I had to replace this same part 9 months ago, so apparently, these parts are not manufactured well. The good news was since I had replaced this part 9 months ago, I knew where to order it, get it quickly, and make my wife happy again! 

Removed the top, disconnected electrical connectors(2) removed the old actuator, and installed the new one. 

Ordered dispenser control motor from your company, followed your video instructions, and now everything works great! Thank you! 

I did a search on the code found out what was wrong. and then found AppliancePartsPros.com. They had the part and a very helpful video. 30 minutes later BAM I was back in business. 

My son came over and took the top of the machine off. He disconnected the bad part and put in the new one without any problems. It took all of maybe 10 minutes and the washer was working again without a hitch. 

Youtube video was excellent. I ordered my part and received it within 24 hours with just standard shipping. It was easy to swap out the dispenser motor on my 2013 Whirlpool Duet washer (WFW9550WW10). Symptom was erratic running time and clothes come out smelling dirty still and also not spun well, so still a decent amount of water in garments. After a few loads, I finally noticed a F30 error code. Washer was fixed in under 30 minutes. 

I watched the video on Appliance Parts Pros and saw how easily it was to fix. I ordered the part and it arrived the next day. I followed the videos instructions and in 10 min it was fixed and working. Piece of cake. Thanks!! 

Replaced dispensing valve. 

Looked on-line, identified probable cause, purchased and replaced the dispenser motor. It's all good now. 

Replace the lever control arm and motor.
