How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6050116 / W10900107 Infinite Switch

I got on the internet and found AppliancePartsPros.com. I called and talked to a gentleman in the parts department. He was very knowledgeable about the part I needed and was helpful in placing the part order for me. He also told me about a feature AppliancePartsPros.com had, the video to help customers replace their parts. Great for diy customers. Received switch within 2 days of ordering online. Followed step by step instructions and problem solved in 10 minutes. 

Replaced two switches and four knobs and restored old cooktop's function. Very easy repair, very good results. Cost: approximately $125.00; new cooktop between $900 and $1700. Very pleased I was able to get the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com. 

Remove range top -remove old switch & replace with new switch-replace range top 

Replaced all 4 switches, receptacles and elements. via order from your company. 

Turned power off and put new unit in. Also had to use a hack saw and trim off some of the shaft which was too tall. 

Replace control 

I ordered a new switch from Appliance Parts Pros. The price was good and the delivery was unbelievable. The wiring took a bit of deductive reasoning as the diagrams from the switch manufacturer didn't seem to match my unit but all worked out great. 

I ordered an infinity switch from AppliancePartsPros.com and the part arrived quickly via UPS. The part I received did not match the faulty original so I called the support line. They explained that though it did not match it was the correct part and emailed installation instructions. They were correct, the part did function as a replacement correctly setting the same range of burner temperatures as the original. Therefore I am a satisfied customer. 

I received the parts which were a perfect match. I turned the power off removed the burners lifted the top and replaced the switch. I checked for correct operation.Reinstalled the top and put the new knobs on. The homeowners were tickled to death.
