I replaced the infinite control switch. I had replaced all the switches 5 years ago (I mark the replacement date on the new parts with a Sharpie). I watched the replacement video anyway, however, and it is an excellent piece. Having done this before, it was a relatively simple job. The hardest part was sliding the range out of its "nook"! This range only had a small upper cover behind the control panel with 5 screws. I UNPLUGGED the range, removed the 5 screws, removed the knob and the screws mounting the switch at the front. I replaced the 5 wires one-by-one. The long shaft for the knob on the front had to be placed through the hole in the panel before swapping the wires because the wires have no slack and can't be moved out far enough to allow the long shaft to be inserted. I made sure all the wires were securely attached and reinstalled everything as it was. It required 2 pairs of pliers to break the shaft off to the correct length. You gotta be sure of your length before you break! You only have one shot at this-measure with the knob first to see how much to break off. The new switch works great and it functions more smoothly than the old one ever did. Thanks Appliance Pros!
