How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007772 / WP3191049 Electric Cooktop Burner Switch (6-Inch Element)

Replace switch 

Removed cook top and took out 12 screws and took glass top off. Removed plated holding all burner switches in place and removed switch and light. Replaced both and put top back on. Also I ordered the parts late Saturday night and they shipped on Monday and arrived Wednesday afternoon, regular shipping. Will used appliance parts pros again when I need any parts. 

Replaced all the Infinite Switches that were purchased from this website. 

Replaced all four infinite switches. Went like clockwork. I was somewhat lucky in that the cooktop simply lifted (actually pushed) out and I didn't have to unscrew braces or disconnect wiring. 

After order new switch from Appliance Parts Pros. It was easy to change and this site had some advice and parts per symptom so it was really helpful. 

Had the parts overnighted. Thanksgiving morning I made the repair and salvaged our 30 family member get together. 

Ordered a new replacement unit. Removed old one and replaced the bad one
