Bill T March 07, 2016 for Model Number KECC502 GWH3 Need to replace a switch for the front left big burner of a KECC502 GWH3 Cooktop. The switch is a TUDP406 but can't find one of those. Does it have a replacement and if it is different, how do I wire it up? Have read some previous questions and they say don't depend on wire color. Is there another way to determine which wire goes to which connector on the new/different replacement switch?

Navy Guy March 20, 2013 for Model Number RCC3024RB02 Right front burner doesn't work anymore, no indicator light and no heat. Suggestions??
1 Answer Hello Navy Guy. Test for power to the switch. If there is power there, and the switch does not transfer the power, you will need to replace the switch. If there is no power, go to the switch in front of the wire lead and see if you are dropping power there. If so, replace that switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Bobby June 25, 2012 for Model Number rcc3024r I have a right rear burner that is a dual burner. The replacement switch did not come with any paper work and the back of the new switch that I ordered only has 5 places for wire connections and the old one has 6. It dont look like I am getting the correct switch for the job.
1 Answer Hi Bobby. The Rt. Rear burner has one of the violet wire's going to the P-terminal. Then the other violet wire goes to the 1-B on the burner sensor terminal. The Red wire goes to the switch L-2 terminal. The Black wire goes to the 2-B sensor terminal. the white wire goes from the sensor 1-A terminal to the one 1800w terminals. The other burner terminal is a Blu/Blk wire that goes from it to the H-1 switch terminal. The Blue wire goes to the H-2 switch terminal then to the burner sensor 2-A terminal. The correct amperage rating of the switch is part # WP3191050. Please call A.P.P. Customer Service @ 1-877-477-7278. Thank You. Read More...
Whirlcat May 12, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool RCC3024RQ01 What is the part number for the switch - lower right burner? My switch is not working well.
Naresh D April 06, 2012 for Model Number KECC567KSS0 Hi,I received part number AP3672660 (8203534) - Order number 2499734 - to replace the infinite switch on my KitchenAid front-left burner. I installed it matching the wires to the instructions that came with it - but it went poof. I double-checked the wires and they were connected correctly. Could the wire-colors on the instruction sheet have been incorrect? What do I do next?
1 Answer Naresh, You did order and install the correct infinite switch based on the model number you supplied and the left front infinite switch. When wiring the new switch, it is more important to use the terminal location chart than it is to use the wire color, as thats going to vary from model to model. So, the wire on terminal 2 or (L1) on the original switch attaches to the (L1) terminal of the new switch (Per figure 2 of instruction sheet #8203545) and so on. Contact the APP Customer Assistance Team 1-(877)-477-7278 and order a replacement switch, and check for a possible shorted or damaged wire in the mean time, and use the terminal chart not the wire color chart to wire the new switch. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
