How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007666 / WP3149400 Range Surface Element Switch

Element surface control switch was replaced 

I googled what could be wrong. Watched a video on how to repair it and decided I could fix it myself. I ordered the parts I needed, VERY fast delivery, then I proceeded to repair it. The only problem I had was the shaft on one was too long. I called in and he told me how to fix that, and I was done! 

Replaced switch 

Replaced burner switch 

Installed a new infinite control 

Replaced range surface element switch 

It was easy to change after watching the video. I was so happy to be able to use my large back burner. The parts came quickly. 

Replaced switch 

Simple repair unplug remove cover from back. Take off knob remove two screws holding switch,unplug two plugs from old plug in new switch. Install two screws in new switch install knob,install cover on back. 

The element would switch to high when set on low. I bought the correct switch, watched the video on how to replace and replaced the switch. Was a simple repair requiring me to take the cover off the back of the stove, unscrew the switch from the stove, plug the new switch in and reassemble. Simple quick repair!
