How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010058 / WP61005520 Limit Switch

I replace the rubber pad and switch Thanks for speedy delivery orders parts on Monday and they arrived Tuesday 

I replaced the ice door and solenoid. I also replaced the limit switch witch fell apart when I removed it. All is working like new now. 

Replaced limit switch and pad actuator. Followed the instructions on the video. Very simple. Video was awesome. 

I purchased a new actuator pad as well as a limit switch and replaced the ones in my aging refrigerator (>10 years). While before, you could never be sure if removing the glass would stop the flow of water, now the water immediately stops as you pull the glass away from the new actuator. Works great! 

Installing the new ice door was a breeze with the ice door fountain kit thanks to the video support from the web site. I would have taken the whole door apart if I didn't watch the video. The limit switch was also easy but I still had a problem because the pad was also worn and made the switch stick. I had to add a light spring behind the pad to make it work right. If I knew the real problem I would have bought the pad also. All in all I would defiantly recommend these guys to anyone looking to repair an appliance. 

Decided either the limit switch or the actuator pad was the problem. Decided to replace both. It was easy to find the diagram online and identify the parts. Ordering was easy and the parts arrived quickly. Repair was simple. It's been working properly. 

Replaced limit switch in about 10 minutes. Very easy to do. Works great now. 

Replaced micro switch and actuator (plastic switch cover which was worn and not springing back into shape). All good. OEM parts were a perfect fit. Everything works now. Parts arrived in 2 days after order, with regular shipping. 

Replaced switch using video of DIY took about 15 minutes. 

Replaced switch and actuator pad. Works great again. Wife thought we needed a new fridge but I showed her! = )
