How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4429884 / W10269458 Microwave Door Interlock Switch

I ordered all three switches. I should have ordered the plastic interlocks too because it is difficult to remove the switches without snapping off the little hold-down tabs. I broke two. It is also difficult to get all the wires/connectors off the control panel. Other than that, the repair went OK. Good support from AppliancePartsPros.com. I will use them again if I need to repair any other appliances in the house. 

Replaced all three door switches in microwave since I did not have the technical expertise to troubleshoot which one or ones were faulty. 

Videos helped me troubleshoot and feel confident in attempting the repair. Replaced all door switches as a precaution and two plastic mounts. Parts were easy to find on your website and arrived promptly 

If one switch is bad the others may not be far behind. All door switches replaced. 

I replaced all three of the door switches. The instructions on line were for a whirlpool and I have an Amana so the main difference was the top vent removal but not a big deal. Also the switches were reversed so that there was a double switch on the top instead of on the bottom. The little clips that hold the switch in are very fragile and you have to be very careful when popping out the switch. VERY GENTLY OR THEY WILL BREAK. Over all it was pretty easy after watching the video a couple of times. 

I replaced all three door switches and installed new fuse. Took about 30 min. It worked great afterward. One of the door switches was burned up and fried. It was shorting and blowing the fuses. I went ahead and replaced all three in hopes that this won't happen again for a long time. 

Sent message to AppliancePartsPros.com and they told me what to order.

I read in the comment section of Appliance PartsPros. That this could be caused by one of two switches failing. One was bad so I replaced both. Microwave now works like new. Thanks Pros.for the example of issues and the recommended parts to repair..
