How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6021127 / WPW10415587 Water Level Pressure Switch

Replaced water level sensor Then got f-21 error code cleaned out hoses and replaced ran diagnostic test and it made it through Running first load today crossing fingers 

Repair guy told me what was wrong and the part that was needed to fix. It was super easy just detach black tube, twist the part 90 degrees and it pops off, then unplug wire hanes and pull out. To install new part just reverse the process. Then put the top cover back on with 3 screws and your done after you plug your washer back in. 

A service man tell me the control board go bad cost around $400 to $500.So I searching internet ( appliancepartpros.com )they said most customer have this problem because ( water level switch) So I go with that and I watch a repair video and order part ,do it by myself so very easy take 10-15 minutes .So who have this problem can do it by self 

The fix was quite simple. What attracted me to this site was the price and the return policy. Not knowing all that I was doing, I decided to trouble shoot based on what I researched on the Internet. 

I researched online and found others with the same issue. I watched a video on YouTube, and while they called it something else (analog pressure sensor), went to your site and I ordered the 'Water Level Switch' (APS). The part arrived overnight FEDEX (thank you!) and I installed according to the video in less than 10 minutes. I am happily washing clothes and even pulling up a seat to watch it start going through the wash cycle. After the nightmare of that issue, and the thought that I'd have to either pay $800 to get it fixed by a 'professional' (or just put the whole thing out on the curb), I am thrilled to be washing clothes. AND HERE'S A HUGE PIECE OF ADVICE! If you want it to keep working, DON'T PUT ANY MORE THAN TWO TABLESPOONS OF He DETERGENT IN FOR A LARGE LOAD! Use LESS for smaller loads! Pay no attention to what the detergent bottle recommends! They just want you to use more of their product and it's ruining your machine. 

Replaced water level switch. Which was super easy! I did needed a star screwdriver and a step stool to reach it. I followed the directions on how to replace it and they were perfect. I also cleaned out the filter that I didn't know about until now. I found a quarter in it. Nice after paying so much for the part.

Looked on line for possible cause. Cleaned all hoses and parts then tested. Still have sane code so determined it was the drum pressure switch. Ordered part and overnight shipping (took 3 day's). Installed new pressure switch and tested machine. Works like new now. 

Did routine cleaning and impeller check on water pump...All OK. Checked air flow on 'Water Level Switch' connection tube. Test Ok. Test indications and online Discussion Topics pointed to a defective 'Water Level Switch' Ordered WLS and installed.......FIXED !! Thanks AppliancePartsPROS
