How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6021127 / WPW10415587 Water Level Pressure Switch

The water level switch was the fix. We first cleaned out the lower filter and checked the capacitors on the CCU board which were fine. No fix so we ordered the water level switch from appliancepartsPROs.com and the fix was simple. Pop the old one out and pop the new one in. 

Watched video, did some troubleshooting. Ordered the water level switch. It took just a few minutes and did 3 loads of laundry today and no more error codes F35 and SUDS code. 

At first we would get the F35 and SUD code and we hoped it was a blockage or mix-up but after a week it was just the F35. Thank goodness for the Internet, my husband and I each did some research, watched videos, and he decided we'd try replacing the water level switch before going out to buy a new washer. There were two options for buying the part and we're both glad that we chose AppliancePartsPros.com. I first installed the new flow meter and ran the washer through a rinse and spin cycle. Problem still existed. I then installed a new water inlet valve. Problem still existed. Water would sit on top of the fabric softener in the dispenser tray. So I cleaned the dispenser completely and the water jet holes with a pipe cleaner. It turned out the problem was with the fabric softener being to thick. It had settled out over time. Per the instructions on the bottle I shook it well to mix it and then tried the rinse spin cycle again and everything worked fine. Looks like I have a few extra parts just in case. 

After two appliance service repairmen looked at the washer told me it was a pressure sensor board that was not working. They then claimed part was not available. I went online and put the make and model of the washer in search. Your website came up, asked me what codes came up. It said it was the pressure sensor. The site showed you had it in stock and was a factory, new part. I ordered the part came a week later. It took me thirty minutes to r and r and now the washer runs like new. It saved me 2,000 dollars from buying a new washer. We bought the washer in 2009. Thank you,MRM

Replaced the flow sensor and pressure switch. 

Changed water valve. 

Replaced the Water Level Switch, using only a nut driver. Very easy to change.
