Jon August 14, 2023 As this is electronic, is there a way to test the switch before replacing it to be sure it is the source of problem, or is it process of elimination? All the videos about testing switches are simple metal tab/analog, but nothing about electronic. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Jon, no there is no practical way to test this type of analog pressure switch as it is powered and monitored by the control board to determine the tub's water level based on the pressure build-up/drop in the air trap/air line as the tub is filling and also draining. If the tub's airtrap is not blocked, the airline is not pinched or cracked, the tubing connections are airtight, and the wire harness to the switch is clean and properly connected then the next step is to replace the pressure switch. Bud June 26, 2020 for Model Number Whirlpool Duet WFW9600TW01 Got the infamous F 35 SUD code. Wound up replacing pressure sensor and blowing thru little black hose. Ran diagnostics. All good...wife was happy! She ran 3 loads, then BOOM! F35 again. Further research says "make sure air dome is clear / not plugged". Where is air dome and what does it look like and how do I clear / unplug it? Finally, if that doesn't do it, is my last alternative the MCU? Thanks
1 Answer Bud, the air dome is located on the side of the washtub where the pressure hose connects into the tub. However, if there is soap residue built up on the wash basket and tub, it can cause this error. It would be recommended that the washer is ran through a hot wash while empty. If excessive suds appear, the washer would need to be ran through a clean cycle using Affresh W10549845. If excessive suds does not appear, and the wires and connections are good, then it would be likely that the main control WPW10157913 has failed. Read More...

Joy Williams April 24, 2019 for Model Number WFW9600TW01 My washer is not filling up with water. You can’t see any water but the cloths look wet. How can I fix this
1 Answer Joy, Check the water faucets, fill hoses, make sure there's plenty of water supplied to the washer. Remove power, then the top panel, check the air tube from the pressure switch to the pump attachment point, make sure it's not twisted kinked or clogged(blow in the end of the air tube). If the problem persists then replace the pressure switch. Read More...
Ron Miller February 22, 2019 for Model Number W10415587 Our Kenmore Elite HE5T front load washer gave me a F35 error code plus SUD. I went through testing the pressure switch and then did some diagnostics on it and it stayed at C00. I disconnected the pressure switch from the CCU and it kept running. I also check the steamer and the screen said Yes. I bought a new pressure switch off of Amazon the the washer work once. What else can I do before buying a new CCU or just buying a new washer? Thanks.
1 Answer Ron, Check the pressure hose and the air dome to make sure that it is not clogged. If not then this would most likely be an issue with the CCU. Read More...
Frank June 26, 2017 for Model Number WFW9600TA01 I have a problem with the drum not filling with enough water during a normal wash cycle. Is the water switch adjustable? After filling, how much water should be in the drum? Just 1-2 inches higher than the bottom rubber of the glass door?
1 Answer Hello Frank, The water level switch W10156252 is not adjustable. The water level should not be more than just a bit above the bottom of the door glass. These normally fill with 7 1/2 to 9 gallons of water per fill, depending on the load. Read More...
M.P. July 09, 2016 for Model Number MHWE500VW11 SUDS displayed that changes to F35, I've cleaned the trap and checked the air hoses. A technician recommended I replace the dispenser motor and switch assy but the errors still remain. I have a meter, can you tell me what pins to read out to check the water pressure switch and or the circuit board?
1 Answer Hello M.P., If this failure is displayed, there is a malfunction of the steamer component detected by the Steamer Electronic Board. Check that the pressure hose is connected correctly. Make sure the airtrap is not blocked. Make sure the the hose is not blocked. If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the drain or spin phases, the washer will fi ll 4 liters of water and during 5 minutes the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained and it will try to spin or drain again. If too much detergent was used: Run through a RINSE/SPIN cycle. Run a NORMAL cycle without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU). Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects. Plug in washer or reconnect power. Check drain pump. Check the pressure switch. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.
