How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005981 / WP2182181 Top Door Thimble

I just used one impact wrench with a socket to take out and put it back in. A little bit grease to lubricate the parts. This job took me 5 minutes to do it . It's. so easy to do it. 

Just took out old cracked shelf and replaced with new...took 30 seconds. Replaced hinges took 30 minutes. 

Rather than call an expensive repairman, we watched a youtube video from appliance parts pros on how to fix the problem. We ordered the door cams and installed them as the video showed us. The refrigerator door now closes and seals really well! Problem fixed. Thanks, appliance parts pros!!! 

My wife and I were on the verge of spending thousands for a new refrigerator when I found your awesome website that showed me all that was needed was an easy do it yourself repair. The cost of the parts was less than $10. I chose to buy a few tools shown in the video for about $25 to do the job right and it was well worth it. In truth, I had to do it twice because I didn't sufficiently tighten the bottom cam screw the first time and got the 'ka-Thunk' door opening sound from the cams moving around. Thanks for saving me up to $3,000! 

Replaced door hinge, upper and lower door cam. Fixed problem 

Simple repair. Videos helped greatly. 

Appliance parts pros recommended 3 parts. Other sites not so helpful. Bought cams for the door. WORKS LIKE NEW Bought parts here because of the GREAT advice 

Replaced plastic cams on the bottom hinge and top bushings 

Ordered a complete ice maker which arrived very quickly. Followed the video instructions and was through with the project within 25 minutes. No problems, no surprises. 

I removed the door and replaced the door cam on the lower hinge and on the bottom of the door. I replaced the upper door hinge at the same time, it was not part of the problem but, it was worn.
