How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP3094463 / 285587 Thrust Washer

I ordered all parts of the agitator top, matchup was exactly the same and replaced them quickly. 

I bought the repair kit from www.appliancepartspros.com and did the fix in less than 20 minutes. I think that was the best repair kit one can buy. It all went very smoothly. Thanks. 

Followed the instructions to remove covers to machine. Found water a the back of the washer at the floor where the water valve/vacuum break is located. Ordered parts, replaced the parts and no water leak. The KitchenAid Washer and Dryer is 28 yeasrs old. Since the parts and instruction videos are easy to followed I ordered extra parts to rebuild the pair. Will be placing orders for more parts to have extra parts as needed, and to repair my son/daugher-in-law washer and dryer as well. Appliancepartspros have helped me tremendously. Richard Battles

Upon viewing the video, we took the assembly apart and found the "dogs" within the cam were disintegrated into what resembled gravel. We looked up the diagram for the machine on this website and a .Medium cam agitator was ordered, and all parts were replaced. 

New clutch 

Ordered part based on the Roper model drawings of the Agitator and the videos provided on AppliancePartsPros.com. Amazingly easy for a first time repair. 

I am a 62 year old women who needed a little help from You-tube, and I was able to learn how to check the agitator. I pulled off the agitator to check for possible missing or damaged parts. I could see the washer agitator dogs had deteriorated and were missing and broken. I also noticed the agitator bold and washer was missing. The thrust washer was old and I replaced it as well. It is now in working order.
