How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016534 / WPW10185969 Timer (Washer)

Tested all possible parts. The only part I could not test was the timer. By process of elimination I believed the timer was the issue. I only attempted this repair because of Appliance Parts Pros was willing to take an electronic/electrical part back if it turned out not to fix the problem. Once I received the part I rewatched the instructional video and within 15 minutes I had a working dryer. 

Swapped out the timer control. I had no good way of testing the control but by the process of elimination and an educated guess, I purchased the controller and installed it. Problem fixed. The actual repair was easy. Troubleshooting the problem was difficult and potentially expensive (with a wrong diagnosis and unnecessary parts) 

Timer worked perfect. 

REPLACED THE TIMER. WORKS BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN. THANKS YOU GUYS 

Ordered correct part the second time and just replaced the timer. It works perfect. 

Ordered a new timer from Appliance Parts and replaced the old timer. 

My friend recomend me a téchnical, and he told me that the timer is not working propertly. A son as I received the timer The téchnical fixed.
