Susan H Gloucester , VA March 01, 2015 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL ESTATE Timer stopped calling for ignitor to light (gas dryer less than 2 years old Called sears. they came out ran diagnostics confirmed it was the time. wanted $142.00 for part and $141,00f or 30 minutes of labor. paid the $75 fee. technincial left. ordered part for $96 had it in 2 days. son installed in it in less than 10 minutes. I was thrilled that a company actually had the part in stock, shipped it on time and it arrived as scheduled. I didn't have to call and be put on hold and speak to someone who I couldn't understand. I had no good way of testing the control but by the process of elimination and an educated guess, I purchased the controller and installed it. Problem fixed. The actual repair was easy. John M Red Bank , NJ October 20, 2014 Dryer was not running Tested all possible parts. The only part I could not test was the timer. By process of elimination I believed the timer was the issue. I only attempted this repair because of Appliance Parts Pros was willing to take an electronic/electrical part back if it turned out not to fix the problem. Once I received the part I rewatched the instructional video and within 15 minutes I had a working dryer.
