How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013380 / WP8566184 Dryer Timer

4 minutes to find part on website, 2 day delivery, 10 minute fix. 

Like a boss. I got my nut driver set and bam it was fixed. It operated like it should. Who says women can't fix things. I showed it who was boss 

My repairman gave me your information for the part. I went online and ordered the part. I couldn't believe it arrived the next day. He put it in. I watched the video and he did exactly as the video showed. I usually try anything, but I'm now 71 and female. It's the age not the gender. 

Opened the back panel unscrewed the old timer out and replaced it with the new. Closed everything back up and turned on the unit. I was never so excited to see a part come in the mail. 

Watched yalls video for replacing a dryer timer, ordered it and was super simple to do. Had trouble getting one clip off but my husband was able to get that one loose. 

Replaced using website video. Very easy.

Ordered the part from appliance parts pros and it took maybe 5 minutes to replace. I'm thankful it was that easy. 

Called ApplianceParts Pro. Their rep checked for the part. I purchased it on the spot. This was on 11/5. They shipped on 11/5. I thought it would take a week to get here. Left for a short trip on 11/6. It was by the front door when I came back on 11/8. Installed it in about 10 minutes. 

Replaced timer. When I tested the dryer on cooldown the new timer worked. My wife tried it on a load of clothes but the new timer did not advance. I tried again with a load of clothes and it worked for me. I don't understand what the problem was on the wifes first try but the timer ran, stopped the dryer and sounded the buzzer on three more loads for me. Hope I don't have to do laundry now!!!!
